How to Set Up and Manage your E-mail using Outlook
The following information will help you to set up and manage your email account(s) using Outlook. If you are changing your email account information you may delete the old account completely or you may simply modify the old account. If your account name has not changed you only need to change the password. You may do this by going into the Properties dialog box and changing the password information. Please read through this guide to find the relevant procedure to change the password.

Add an E-mail Account
(Please note that there are different versions of Outlook in use and the one you have may differ slightly in appearance. But the same basic procedures below should help you with most versions of Outlook and Outlook Express.)
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2000.
  2. Click the Tools menu and select Accounts from the drop-down menu that appears under Tools.
  3. A dialog box will then pop up (see Figure 1.1)
  4. Select the Add button. This brings up a submenu and you then select Mail. The Internet Connection Wizard then pops up (see Figure 1.2). You enter your name in the Display Name field.
  5. Select the Next button. The second Internet Connection Wizard dialog box appears. Enter your email address. (see figure 1.3)
  6. Select the Next button and the third Internet Connection Wizard dialog box will pop up. This dialog box is titled E-mail Server Names. You must put in the information for the mail servers (the computers actually that store and run your email services) in the fields in this dialog box. You must first select the type of server in the drop-down menu field: choose either POP3 if you are on our Plesk server. (see Figure 1.4)
  7. Select the Next button and the Internet Connection Wizard dialog box will pop up. This dialog box is titled Internet Mail Logon. You must put in the information for the account name. You may choose any name. (see Figure 1.5)
  8. Select the Next button and the Internet Connection Wizard dialog box will pop up. You must put in the information for the account name. You may choose the type of connection you have to the Internet. In most cases you will select the radio button for "Connect using my local area network (LAN). (see Figure 1.6)
  9. Select the Next button and the final Internet Connection Wizard dialog box will pop up. It offers you the opportunity to save the settings you have chosen in the Wizard. Select the Finish button. You will then see that the Internet Accounts dialog box is on top of your main Outlook window. You should see the account you just set up listed under the Accounts column in the Mail tab. Click on the name of the new account (citidexli.com in our example). (see figure 1.7)
  10. After clicking on the new account (citidexli.com) it turns blue and you know this is selected and active. Then select the Properties button.
  11. This pops up a new dialog box labeled with the name of the account (citidexli.com Properties). There are four tabs. The General tab will be active at first. You have the opportunity to modify any of the user information. (see Figure 1.8)
  12. Select the Servers tab. You should see the information you entered in the Wizard in the appropriate fields in this tab. You have the opportunity to modify any of the user information. (see Figure 1.9)
  13. Select the Connection tab. You should see the information you entered in the Wizard in the appropriate fields in this tab. You have the opportunity to modify any of the user information. (see Figure 1.10)
  14. Select the Advanced tab. You should see the information you entered in the Wizard in the appropriate fields in this tab. You have the opportunity to modify any of the user information. (see Figure 1.11)
  15. You may want to check the box for "Leave a copy of messages on server" with "Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items'". Then click the Apply button and the OK button. This brings you back to the Internet Accounts dialog box. Click on the close button and the dialog box closes and the main Outlook window becomes active.
  16. Click on the Send/Receive button at the top of the Outlook window. You should now be able to access and download your email into your desktop folders in Outlook.
